Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park is a national park located in Bo Trach and Minh Hoa districts, Quang Binh province, Vietnam. It sits approximately 50 km northwest of Dong Hoi City and about 500 km south of Hanoi. To the west, the national park borders the Hin Namno Nature Reserve in Khammouan Province, Laos, while its eastern boundary lies 42 km from the East Sea.

Phong Nha – Ke Bang is situated in a limestone region covering approximately 201,000 hectares within Vietnam, adjacent to another 200,000 hectares of limestone karst area across the border in Laos. The national park features a core zone of 85,754 hectares and a buffer zone spanning 195,400 hectares.

Itinerary

NIGHT 1: HANOI – PHONG NHA

22:00: Pick-up by vehicle and tour guide at the designated meeting point at 160 Tran Quang Khai Street (note: pick-up location may vary on certain departure dates and will be notified in advance), then depart for Quang Binh.

Overnight stay on the sleeper bus. Rest stops will be made along the route.

06:00: Breakfast at a local restaurant in Phong Nha, followed by time to rest and relax.

08:00: Your tour guide boards you on a boat ride upstream along the Son River to visit Phong Nha Cave (also known as the "Wet Cave"). This cave exemplifies the aesthetic splendor of the Phong Nha – Ke Bang World Natural Heritage Site, recognized by the British Cave Research Association for its seven globally outstanding criteria. It is also the only cave with an underground river currently open to tourism in Vietnam. You will board a boat to explore the first 1.2 km of Phong Nha's subterranean river, followed by a walking tour of Bi Ky Cave, Tien Cave, and Cung Dinh (Royal Palace) Cave.

11:00: Enjoy lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, the vehicle transfers the group to Suoi Mooc Eco-Tourism Area in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park—one of the premier water recreation destinations in Quang Binh. Originating naturally from the foot of the mountain, the crystal-clear, refreshing stream winds through lush primeval forests. Here, you can enjoy exciting activities such as kayaking, bridge jumping, ziplining, swimming, or strolling along wooden bridges, viewing flowers, and taking in the tranquil sounds of nature. The fresh air, stunning scenery, and lively ambiance make Suoi Mooc a must-visit destination for families, friend groups, and corporate tours. (Note: Entrance fees and activity charges at Suoi Mooc are not included in the tour price).

Afternoon: Board the vehicle for Dong Hoi City, check in to your hotel, relax, and enjoy free time swimming at Nhat Le Beach.

19:00: Dinner at a restaurant. In the evening, feel free to explore Dong Hoi City by night. Overnight stay in Dong Hoi.

Morning: Optionally, wake up early for a beach swim to experience the cool, tranquil atmosphere at sunrise before returning to the hotel for breakfast.

08:30: Your tour guide takes you to visit and take commemorative photos at Quang Binh Gate, Ho Chi Minh Square, and the Mother Suot Monument.

Noon: Enjoy lunch at a restaurant.

Afternoon: Free time to relax and swim at Nhat Le Beach.

18:30: Dinner at a restaurant. In the evening, feel free to explore Dong Hoi City by night. Overnight stay in Dong Hoi.

05:30: Gather and board the vehicle to watch the sunrise over the sea, take photos, and experience sandboarding at Quang Phu Sand Dunes (expenses at own account).

07:00: Return to the hotel to refresh, rest, have breakfast, and enjoy free time swimming at the beach.

08:00: Check out of the hotel and depart for Hanoi. En route, the vehicle stops for the group to:

Take commemorative photos at the Gianh River Victory Monument—site of the historic Gianh River that divided Dang Trong (Inner Realm) and Dang Ngoai (Outer Realm), as well as the Thay Citadel built by the Nguyen Lords during the Trinh–Nguyen War.
Visit Vung Chua – Yen Island, the final resting place of the late General Vo Nguyen Giap.

11:00: Lunch in Ha Tinh City. After lunch, continue the journey back to Hanoi.

18:30: Arrive at Hanoi Opera House. Tour concludes. Goodbye and see you on future journeys!

Tips for the driver and tour guide:
- If satisfied with the service, tipping is optional and at your discretion. However, customary tipping is at least 50,000 VND/guest/day.
- Standard tip for foreign guests: 3 USD/guest/day.

Children aged 1 to 4: Free tour services; only a seat fee for the vehicle applies (in compliance with Road Traffic Regulations regarding maximum passenger capacity). Parents are responsible for all other incurred expenses.
Note: 02 adults may accompany only 01 child aged 1–4 under this policy. From the 2nd child onwards, 75% of the adult tour price applies. If 01 adult travels with 01 child aged 1–4, the child will be charged 75% of the adult tour price.
Children aged 5 to 9: Charged 75% of the adult tour price (includes set meals, entrance tickets at sites requiring adult tickets, and a dedicated bus seat; shares a bed with parents).
Important: Children under child rate policies (50% or 75%) do not receive an extra bed and must share existing bedding with their family. Multiple children cannot be combined to convert into additional adult beds.

GENERAL NOTES & GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES

Children aged 9 and above: Charged full adult price and receive standard adult service inclusions.
Height Limit Adjustments: If an attraction site requires purchasing an adult ticket for a child because they exceed the designated height limit, parents are kindly requested to pay the price difference directly to the tour guide.

General Notes:

Guests must bring valid government-issued identification (Citizen ID Card / Passport). Children under 14 must bring a birth certificate (certified extract or original); children aged 14 and older must carry a Citizen ID Card or Passport.
Guests are advised to prepare common personal medications (motion sickness, cold/fever, digestive medicine, etc.).

Customer Responsibilities:

Health: Guests are solely responsible for their own physical health and fitness. Guests must inform the tour operator of any pre-existing or chronic medical conditions (if any) to receive appropriate itinerary advice.
Personal Belongings: Guests are responsible for safeguarding their money, personal belongings, and travel tickets throughout the trip. The tour operator is not liable for any lost or misplaced personal property.
Vegetarian Meals: Vegetarian guests are kindly requested to bring additional personal food to suit their dietary preferences.
Unused Services: Any tour services unused due to personal reasons are non-refundable.
Itinerary Adjustments: The tour guide reserves the right to adjust the order of attractions based on operational conditions on departure day, while still ensuring all scheduled sites are covered.
Small Groups: For groups of 10 guests or fewer, or trips utilizing 4 to 16-seater vehicles, an experienced driver will concurrently serve as the tour guide.
